Interesting and Controversial Chinese AI software judges

whether Chinese men aged 18-55 could be criminals based on facial features

Xiaolin Wu and Xi Zhang, researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, released their paper on arXiv, an online open-sourced pre-print journal – but it has not yet been peer-reviewed or published officially.
The researchers singled out three features that they suggest can tell whether someone will be a criminal or not – lip curvature, eye inner corner distance, and the angle from the tip of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
