"Zalando (Germany) defends work practices after undercover TV probe" article at FT

Berlin-based online fashion retailer Zalando has been forced to defend working practices in its logistics centre after it was targeted in an investigation by German TV station RTL that aired on Monday night.

The broadcaster described working conditions at Zalando as "a climate marked by constant fear" after sending an undercover journalist to work as a picker and packer at the retailer’s centre in Erfurt, which is home to 2,000 employees.
