If Russian Mafia from Badoo (backer and owner of Bumble) in war with Tinder (owned by MATCH GROUP - IAC) had hacked part of MATCH GROUP?
And soon they will leak internal docs showing Match dot com creates fake profiles from inside?
"Now before I paid for a subscription, I spent about a week seeing what kind of women were using Match dot com. During this time, I was getting a ton of email from women who apparently liked or favourited me. However, after subscribing, the number of such emails I received dropped to zero. I found the reason for this, and it’s because in the daily match results, only 1 out of 12 users is a subscriber (I watched this happen for the last 10 days). Seems the daily match results are setup to maximize sending new users lots of emails. But once you're a member, you need to pay extra to get into these daily match results."
PlentyOfFish (POF) and Tinder have 70% of MATCH GROUP's traffic but provide no more than 15% of the whole revenue?
Main revenue is provided by Match/Meetic sites? In the range of USD 850 million annually.
*** Only way to sustain that huge revenue is creating fake profiles from inside to entice customers to subscribe. ***
Also be alerted that Barry Diller is over 74 years old and can "retire" this year due to lung cancer. The IAC and MATCH GROUP can collapse because he is like a Godfather.

In the case of Yuliana Avalos and Melissa Midwest former 2014 big lawsuit againts MATCH GROUP, third-party scammers in Africa or wherever were creating fake profiles and catfishing with them.
IAC and MATCH GROUP were essentially aware of that situation and did nothing to stop it.
The USA Court ruled that IAC and MATCH GROUP were not responsible.
Attorney Evan Spencer, said that despite the fact that anti-scammer technology is available, MATCH GROUP failed to use such things as face-recognition software – which would have discovered that her pictures were being used hundreds of times. Yuliana Avalos has argued in a former 2014 big lawsuit against Match that photos of her were posted without her permission on the site as part of a scam that drove a man to commit suicide.

When I was interviewed last January 2011 by "Caras y Caretas" (summer in Argentina) I thought there were going to be a big scandal, because former CEO of Match LATAM Countries recognized 75% inactive profiles at Match Argentina, but nothing happened. Soon or later, all online dating sites should scan all photos used in each and every profile!

Perhaps since the cases against IAC and MATCH GROUP were dismissed, they thought they could virtually do anything, including creating fake profiles from inside.
Will wait for those leaked internal documents!
Scammers and Spammers: Inside Online Dating's Sex Bot Con Job
http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/features/scammers-and-spammers-inside-online-datings-sex-bot-con-job-20160201
"They're not the only ones using fake profiles," says Marc Lesnick, organizer of iDate, the industry's largest trade show. "It's definitely pervasive."
But Lesnick, the iDate organizer, says there’s no doubting who’s up to such tricks. “Everyone in the industry knows who the good players are and who bad players are,” he says. “Eventually the bad guys will get found out and get caught. This is fraud.” But when I ask him to name names, like many in the business, he declines. “I have to bite my lip,” he says. “Some of them come to my event.”
