FREE should mean: Costing nothing; gratuitous, but nothing is really free, you pay with your time, more valuable than money in some cases.
FEE: A fixed sum charged, as by an institution or by law, for a privilege:
Paid dating sites bastardize the use of the word "free"
It really means, register for FREE, then pay the FEE.
I agree; these "Free Members" only serve to inflate the membership numbers of the paid dating sites.
ReplyDeleteThe sad part is that this is hardly surprising; if abuse of statistics were a criminal offence, the CEO's of dating sites would all be doing life sentences....
