NEW FRESH NEW PAPER: "How genes influence personality:
"Much of the variation in human personality is described by five to six dimensions. Less clear, however, is whether these dimensions are underpinned by similarly coherent and unified biological bases. Using the HEXACO traits, we tested whether genetic covariance within each dimension was underpinned by a single common genetic factor using three distinct classes of multivariate model. For each of the six factors, only a single common genetic basis was required to explain genetic covariation among the facets, along with facet-specific genetic effects. These findings provide support for personality models positing that the major dimensions of personality are each underpinned by a unified and coherent biological architecture.
The current study sample was drawn from a subset of the Twins UK study, which is an on-going study following monozygotic (MZ) and dizygotic (DZ) twins in the UK (2013). Mean age was 61 years (SD = 12.84). Twin zygosity was determined using self-rating measure of similarity and genotyping when uncertainty was present. The current sample consisted of the following number of complete twin pairs: MZ male pairs: n= 36 (unpaired singletons: n= 128); MZ female pairs: n= 474 (unpaired singletons: n= 378); DZ male pairs: n= 30 (unpaired singletons: n= 127); DZ female pairs: n= 408 (unpaired singletons: n= 569).
No DZ opposite-sex pairs were available for analysis.
Participants were administered the 60-item HEXACO Personality Inventory (HEXACO-60; Ashton & Lee, 2009).
For all of the 24 measures, MZ twin correlations exceeded DZ twin correlations indicating the presence of genetic effects on trait variation."
Please remember personality = temperament + character
Personality is composed of two basic types of traits:
traits that an individual acquires, dimensions of character;
traits with biological underpinnings, dimensions of temperament (Cloninger 1987).

personality traits are highly stable
Many C-Level executives from Online Dating Companies are more worried about their golf scores than their company’s long term strategy and innovations. They can cook a barbecue under the water, they are smoke sellers, but they are not going to innovate in nothing. They do not pay attention to latest research from Academics which could be beneficial for the Online Dating Industry.
The key to long-lasting romance is STRICT PERSONALITY SIMILARITY.
WorldWide, there are over 5,000 -five thousand- online dating sites
but no one is using the 16PF5 (or similar) to assess personality of its members!
but no one calculates similarity with a quantized pattern comparison method!
but no one can show Compatibility Distribution Curves to each and every of its members!
but no one is scientifically proven!
The only way to revolutionize the Online Dating Industry is using the 16PF5 normative personality test, available in different languages to assess personality of members, or a proprietary test with exactly the same traits of the 16PF5 and expressing compatibility with eight decimals (needs a quantized pattern comparison method, part of pattern recognition by cross-correlation, to calculate similarity between prospective mates.)
High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing.
It is all about achieving the eighth decimal!
With 8 decimals, you have more precision than any person could achieve by searching on one's own, but the only way to achieve the eighth decimal is using analysis and correlation with quantized patterns.
Without offering the NORMATIVE16PF5 (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry All other proposals are NOISE and perform as placebo.
