LIFEPROJECT METHOD versus eHARMONY

http://es.scribd.com/doc/223672375/LPMvEHARMONY-pdf

LIFEPROJECT METHOD versus eHARMONY

  • eHarmony Inc. uses the normative Big Five test in its sites to measure personality of daters, but the Big Five model had been revealed as an incomplete and incorrect model to measure personality. Now it had been replaced by HEXACO test, a.k.a Big Six test.
  • LIFEPROJECT METHOD proposes the normative 16PF5 or 15FQ+ or similar test to measure personality of daters; the 16 personality traits proposed by Dr. Raymond Cattell.

  • eHarmony Inc. says "99.7% of eHarmony's members will not be introduced to you", i.e. only 0.3% of members will be shown as a high compatible partner for you; that is the power of eHarmony's matching algorithm (the effectiveness/efficiency level of the matching algorithm). In the same range as searching by your own! Performing really as placebo.
  • LIFEPROJECT METHOD is 100 times (not 100%) more powerful than eHarmony's  matching algorithm!
  •  eHarmony Inc.'s matching algorithm in the range of 3 persons shown as high compatible per 1,000 persons screened; exactly in the same range as searching by your own! Performing really as placebo.
  • LIFEPROJECT METHOD's matching algorithm in the range of 3 persons shown as high compatible per 100,000 persons screened! Not any improvement, really an innovation. 100X more powerful than eHarmony's matching algorithm or any other site.

  • eHarmony is a 14 years old obsolete site and a HOAX based on a big scientific FRAUD, because the normative Big Five model to measure personality of daters had been proven/revealed as an incomplete and incorrect model to measure personality of daters. Now replaced by HEXACO test, a.k.a Big Six test.
  • LIFEPROJECT METHOD proposes the normative 16PF5 or 15FQ+ or similar test to measure personality of daters.  That is the ONLY way to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry for serious daters.
The key to long-lasting romance is STRICT PERSONALITY SIMILARITY.

WorldWide, there are over 5,000 -five thousand- online dating sites
but no one is using the 16PF5 (or similar) to assess personality of its members!
but no one calculates similarity with a quantized pattern comparison method!
but no one can show Compatibility Distribution Curves to each and every of its members!
but no one is scientifically proven!

The only way to revolutionize the Online Dating Industry is using the 16PF5 normative personality test, available in different languages to assess personality of members, or a proprietary test with exactly the same traits of the 16PF5 and expressing compatibility with eight decimals (needs a quantized pattern comparison method, part of pattern recognition by cross-correlation, to calculate similarity between prospective mates.)
High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing.
It is all about achieving the eighth decimal!
With 8 decimals, you have more precision than any person could achieve by searching on one's own, but the only way to achieve the eighth decimal is using analysis and correlation with quantized patterns.

Without offering the NORMATIVE16PF5 (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry All other proposals are NOISE and perform as placebo.

The Online Dating Industry does not need a 10% improvement, a 50% improvement or a 100% improvement. It does need "a 100 times better improvement", not 100% better, 100X better The Online Dating Industry needs a very powerful algorithm like the "Teller Ulam design". In this case 100 times more powerful than actual matching algorithms.

Big Five (aka OCEAN test, Big 5) has been proven as an incomplete and incorrect model of personality.

Remember: How to calculate personality similarity between users?
Short answer: the key is the ENSEMBLE!
(the whole set of different valid possibilities)

LIFEPROJECT METHOD, 100 TIMES BETTER THAN eHarmony

NOT 100% better, 100 times better (100X), like the Teller–Ulam design for the Online Dating Industry.

PAPER: "Introducing Docear's Research Paper Recommender System"

Docear's Research Paper Recommender System

"Docear does not only know which papers a researcher currently is reading but also which parts of an article he considers particularly important. This allows highly personalized recommendations."

Personality Based Recommender Systems are the next generation of recommender systems because they perform far better than Behavioural ones (past actions and pattern of personal preferences)
That is the only way to improve recommender systems, to include the personality traits of their users. They need to calculate personality similarity between users but there are different formulas to calculate similarity.
Recommender systems are morphing to ......... compatibility matching engines, as the same used in the Online Dating Industry since years, with low success rates, because they mostly use the Big5 to assess personality and the Pearson correlation coefficient to calculate similarity.
(Personality traits are highly stable in persons over 25 years old to 45 years old)

Which is the RIGHT approach to innovate in the Personality Based Recommender Systems Arena?
The same approach to innovate in the Online Dating Industry == 16PF5 test or similar to assess personality traits and a new method to calculate similarity between quantized patterns.

The next wave of innovation!

What comes after the Social Networking wave?
The Next Big Investment Opportunity on the Internet will be .... Personalization!
Personality Based Recommender Systems and Strict Personality Based Compatibility Matching Engines for serious Online Dating with the normative 16PF5 personality test.
The market remains enormous!!

The entire Online Dating Industry for serious daters in 1st World Countries is a HOAX, performing as a Big Online Casino, with a low effectiveness/efficiency level of their matching algorithms (less than 10%), in the same range as searching by your own.
Actual online dating sites offering compatibility matching methods are only fueled by big marketing budgets and not by serious scientific evidence. No one ( eHarmony, Chemistry, PerfectMatch, PlentyOfFish Chemistry Predictor, MeeticAffinity, Be2, RewardingLove, Parship, True, etc) can prove its matching algorithm can match prospective partners who will have more stable and satisfying relationships than couples matched by chance, astrological destiny, personal preferences, searching on one's own, or other technique as the control group in a peer_reviewed Scientific Paper for the majority (over 90%) of their members.

They are all like placebo, as:
* Actual online dating sites offering compatibility matching methods, when calculating compatibility between prospective mates, have less or at least the same precision as searching on one's own. [in the range of 3 or 4 persons compatible per 1,000 persons screened]
* That is because they use:
a) simplified versions of personality traits, instead of the 16PF5 or similar with the complete inventory (16 variables)
b) inadequate quantitative methods to calculate compatibility between prospective mates.

The Big Five normative personality test is obsolete, it has been proven as an incomplete and incorrect model of personality.
The HEXACO (a.k.a. Big Six) is another oversimplification. Online Dating sites have very big databases, in the range of 20,000,000 (twenty million) profiles, so the BIG 5 model or the HEXACO model are not enough for predictive purposes. That is why I suggest the 16PF5 test instead.

To solve that problem I propose:
1) the 16PF5 or similar normative personality test to measure personality of normal persons over 26 years old interested in serious dating.
No actual online dating site offering compatibility matching methods uses the 16PF5 normative test available in different languages.
2) a new quantitative method to calculate compatibility between prospective mates, based on quantized pattern comparison (part of pattern recognition by correlation)
The value of my algorithm is to achieve far more precision than searching on one's own [in the range of 3 persons compatible per 100,000 persons screened, 100 times better than actual competitors]

The Teller–Ulam design is the nuclear weapon design concept used in most of the world's multi-megaton-range thermonuclear weapons;  a 1,000 times more powerful than Hiroshima's Little Boy. In most applications the bulk of its destructive energy comes from uranium fission, not hydrogen/deuterium/tritium fusion
Its essential features, which officially remained secret for nearly three decades, are:
1) separation of stages into a triggering "primary" explosive and a much more powerful "secondary" explosive
2) compression of the secondary by X-rays coming from nuclear fission in the primary, a process called the "radiation implosion" of the secondary,
3) heating of the secondary, after cold compression, by a second fission explosion inside the secondary.

The Online Dating Industry needs a very powerful algorithm like the "Teller Ulam design". In this case 100 times more powerful than actual matching algorithms.

Can you guess which is that powerful matching algorithm?

High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing.
It is all about achieving the eighth decimal!
With 8 decimals, you have more precision than any person could achieve by searching on one's own, but the only way to achieve the eighth decimal is using analysis and correlation with quantized patterns.

2 tips for matching algorithms

1) Matching algorithms do not need to be complex or sophisticated, they need to be effective.
2) When you evaluate a matching algorithm for the Online Dating Industry, you FIRST need to estimate its resources consumption, the power calculation it requires.

LIFEPROJECT METHOD is quite simple, fully written in less than 10 A4 pages.
But it is so powerful!

Teller Ulam design and LIFEPROJECT METHOD.

The Tunguska event was an enormously powerful explosion that occurred in what is now Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, at about 0:14 UT on June 30 1908. The explosion is believed to have been caused by the air burst of a large meteoroid or comet fragment at an altitude of 5–10 kilometres (3–6 mi) above the Earth's surface.
The energy of the blast was nearly 15 megatons of TNT roughly equal to the United States' Castle Bravo thermonuclear bomb tested on March 1, 1954; about 1,000 times more powerful than the nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan (codenamed  Little Boy).

The idea of a thermonuclear fusion bomb ignited by a smaller fission bomb was first proposed by Enrico Fermi to his colleague Edward Teller in 1941 at the start of what would become the Manhattan Project.
Other prominent scientists openly recommended building nuclear bombs more powerful than the standard pure-fission model. Their assumption was that critical mass considerations would limit the potential size of fission explosions, but that a fusion explosion could be as large as its supply of fuel, which has no critical mass limit.
In January 1951, Edward Teller and Stanislaw Ulam invented radiation-powered ablation-drive implosion.
The Teller–Ulam design is the nuclear weapon design concept used in most of the world's multi-megaton-range thermonuclear weapons;  a 1,000 times more powerful than Hiroshima's Little Boy.
Its essential features, officially remained secret for nearly three decades.

LIFEPROJECT METHOD  is like the "Teller Ulam design" for the Online Dating Industry.
In this case 100 times more powerful than actual matching algorithms.

Breaking "the online dating sound barrier" is to achieve at least:
3 most compatible persons in a 100,000 persons database.
12 most compatible persons in a 1,000,000 persons database.
48 most compatible persons in a 10,000,000 persons database.
100 times better than Compatibility Matching Algorithms used by actual online dating sites!

The only way to achieve that is:
- using the 16PF5 normative personality test, available in different languages to assess personality of members, or a proprietary test with exactly the same traits of the 16PF5. The ensemble of the 16PF5 is: 10E16, big number as All World Population is nearly 7.0 * 10E9 (estimated OCT 2011)
- expressing compatibility with eight decimals, like The pattern 6.7.6.8.9.6.7.7.8.7.2.5.8.7.3.4 is 92.55033557%  +/- 0.00000001% similar to the pattern 7.7.6.8.8.7.6.5.8.7.4.5.7.7.3.4
Using a quantized pattern comparison method (part of pattern recognition by cross-correlation) to calculate similarity between prospective mates.

That is the only way to revolutionize the Online Dating Industry.

All other proposals are .............. NOISE

LIFEPROJECT METHOD scoring algorithm

LIFEPROJECT METHOD scoring algorithm: More than 10 years ago I had invented a proprietary method to calculate similarity between quantized patterns.

To my best knowledge, nobody could do or copy something like that.

I had revealed the main matching equation for public scrutiny but not the functions [/CQ/ means Comparison Operator] nor the coefficients [ K01, K02, K03, K04, K05, K06, K07, K08, K09, K10, K11, K12, K13, K14, K15, K16] because I plan to use the algorithm in the online dating site I want to launch, or sell the algorithm or license it to online dating companies.

Why your brain distorts

If you were born and live in the North Hemisphere you are used to see the World Map in Mercator Projection like this

You think North America, Europe and Asia are UP and South America and Oceania are DOWN
Moreover the Mercator projection exaggerates areas far from the equator. For example:
Greenland takes as much area on the map as Africa, when in fact Africa's area is approximately 14 times greater than Greenland.
Alaska takes as much area on the map as Brazil, when Brazil's area is actually more than 5 times that of Alaska.
Finland appears with a greater north-south extent than India, although India's is greater.
Antarctica appears as the biggest continent, although it is actually the fifth in terms of area.

Modern atlases no longer use the Mercator projection for world maps or for areas distant from the equator, preferring other cylindrical projections, or forms of equal-area projection.
See the World Map in a Hobo–Dyer equal-area projection.

See again the World Map in another Hobo–Dyer projection
South America is not the end of the world, it is the beginning of everything.

The same happens with tests used in the Online Dating Industry for compatibility matching. They distort and cannot break "the online dating sound barrier"!!!

* That is because they use:
a) simplified versions of personality traits, instead of the 16PF5 or similar with the complete inventory (16 variables) Since the traits which compose the Big Five model are relatively broad, they are not nearly as predictive and accurate for explaining human behavior as some of the more abundant, specific traits.
b) inadequate quantitative methods to calculate compatibility between prospective mates, like eHarmony which uses Dyadic Adjustment Scale or other sites which use multivariate linear / logistic regression equations o other simple equations.

In compatibility matching methods there are 2 steps:
1) to objectively measure personality traits or other human variables (with the 16PF5 test).
2) to calculate compatibility between prospective mates.

Innovations are not adding more bells and whistles to actual online dating sites.

Using a quantized pattern comparison method (part of pattern recognition by cross-correlation) to calculate similarity between prospective mates. .......guess.... LIFEPROJECT METHOD.

"Why Mate Choices are not as Reciprocal as we Assume: The Role of Personality, Flirting and Physical Attractiveness / ¿Por qué la selección de pareja no es tan recíproca como suponemos?: El papel de la personalidad, coqueteo y el atractivo físico" (2010)
"From Dating to Mating and Relating: Predictors of Initial and Long-Term Outcomes of Speed-Dating in a Community Sample.

Compatibility Distribution curves

I use "personality similarity distribution" for LIFEPROJECT METHOD because it offers strict personality similarity using the 16PF5 and the quantitative method I had invented but other proposals should use "Compatibility Distribution"

Y axis: number of persons per interval (women in this case)
X axis: 100 intervals, from 1 to 100, meaning (n-1).00000000% to (n-1).99999999% of personality similarity with man#1 in interval n.

Eg: In the personality similarity distribution of man#1 compared to ~100,000 women database
There are 1,320 women with 46.00000000% to 46.99999999% of personality similarity with man#1 in interval 47.
There are 3,370 women with 72.00000000% to 72.99999999% of personality similarity with man#1 in interval 73.
There are 500 women with 84.00000000% to 84.99999999% of personality similarity with man#1 in interval 85.
