The 16PF test in Sixth Edition

Innovations: to take the 16PF test 3 times

If you plan to use/offer the 16PF
http://onlinedatingsoundbarrier.blogspot.com.ar/2011/05/if-you-plan-to-useoffer-16pf5.html
Online Dating sites have very big databases, in the range of 20,000,000 (twenty million) profiles, so the Big Five model or the HEXACO model are not enough for predictive purposes.
That is why I suggest the 16PF test instead and another method to calculate similarity.
High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing.
Without offering the NORMATIVE 16PF (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry.
WorldWide, there are over 5,000 (five thousand) online dating sites:
- but no one is using the 16PF (or similar) to assess personality of its members!
- but no one calculates similarity with a quantized pattern comparison method!
- but no one can show Compatibility Distribution Curves to each and every of its members!!! i.e. if you are a man seeking women, to show how compatible you are with a 20,000,000 women database, and to select a bunch of 100 women from 20,000,000 women database.
- but no one is scientifically proven! No actual online dating site is "scientifically proven" because no one can prove its matching algorithm can match prospective partners who will have more stable and satisfying relationships (and very low divorce rates) than couples matched by chance, astrological destiny, personal preferences, searching on one's own, or other technique as the control group in a peer reviewed Scientific Paper for the majority (over 90%) of its members.
The 8 tips to innovate in the Online Dating Industry!

FT articles: Bank hiring: Wall St turns to machines to find better-behaved bankers & Making the grade at Deutsche Bank
Noel Volpe owes his marriage to the behavioural profiling used by dating website eHarmony. Now, the affable New York investment banker is using the same technology for a different type of matchmaking: introducing his employer, Deutsche Bank, to perfectly suited graduates.
This month, Deutsche’s US corporate finance division has begun screening students for the behaviours identified in its best junior staff, so it can hire high performers from more diverse backgrounds who stay at the bank for longer.

This February 2016 eHarmony launched ElevatedCareers, for match job seekers with employers but it only overpromises, delivers job matches as a machine gun shooting flowers (good for nothing, useless).
eHarmony is a 16 years old obsolete site and a HOAX, based on a big scientific fraud, only sustained by big marketing budget.
The Big Five normative test used by eHarmony, had been proven/revealed as an incomplete and incorrect model to assess/measure personality of persons.
If eHarmony were a medicine, it will be performing as placebo.
eHarmony's personality similarity approach is correct, but how eHarmony assesses personality (Big Five) and how eHarmony calculates similarity (low precision method) is incorrect.
Success rate* of eHarmony is less than 10%.
*success rate == percentage of persons who leave the site because they found someone compatible.
The majority, over 90% of eHarmony's members are not going to achieve a long term relationship with commitment (or marriage) using that site.
The Wall Street Journal had published an interesting article about Xerox last September 2012.
"When looking for workers to staff its call centers, Xerox Corp. used to pay lots of attention to applicants who had done the job before. Then, a computer program told the printer and outsourcing company that experience doesn't matter. The software said that what does matter in a good call-center worker—one who won't quit before the company recoups its USD5,000 investment in training—is personality."
For matching job seekers with employers, the best predictor of job performance is always: personality!!!

Personality Based Recommender Systems are the next generation of recommender systems because they perform far better than Behavioural ones (past actions and pattern of personal preferences)
The RIGHT approach to innovate in the Personality Based Recommender Systems Arena is exactly the same approach to innovate in the Online Dating Industry == 16PF5 test or similar to assess personality traits and a new method to calculate similarity between quantized patterns.
High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing.
Without offering the NORMATIVE 16PF5 (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry.
The Online Dating Industry does not need a 10% improvement, a 50% improvement or a 100% improvement. It does need "a 100 times better improvement"
The same for Recommender Systems.

How the Big Five (Big 5) normative personality test revealed as .... incomplete
Short answer: thanks to commingling analysis.
Commingling analysis is a statistical method for distinguishing between one (usually normal) distribution and a mixture of two or more distributions.
The HEXACO model is replacing the Big Five normative personality test now!
Online dating sites using the Big Five model could be considered obsolete sites, because the Big Five model has been proven as "an incomplete model"
As some of the subdomains of the main domains of the HEXACO model are different from the subdomains of the main domains of the Big Five model, it can not be simple added the scale of the Honesty-Humility factor to the Big Five model to upgrade the personality test to the HEXACO model. I think, legally, online dating sites using the Big Five model of personality could be considered a FRAUD because they are using an incomplete model of personality. They are assessing 5 scales and not 6 scales.
Online Dating sites have very big databases, in the range of 20,000,000 (twenty million) profiles, so the BIG5 model or the HEXACO model are not enough for predictive purposes. That is why I suggest the 16PF5 test instead.
Also some Psychologists began to encourage the use of other tests for the Online Dating Industry, like:
California Psychological Inventory (CPI)
and
The Millon Index of Personality Styles-Revised (MIPS Revised)
but my best recommendation is, of course, the 16PF5 normative personality test.
Nor the CPI nor the MIPS can outperform the 16PF5.

using the Big Five model of personality could be considered a FRAUD ?
More about the HEXACO model to replace the Big Five normative personality test soon!
"While the Big-Five has been the dominant approach in personality research for over two decades, recent investigations have identified a sixth independent personality dimension referred to as Honesty-Humility (Ashton & Lee, 2007, 2009). The six independent factors then are: Honesty-Humility (H), Emotionality (E), Extraversion (X), Agreeableness (A), Conscientiousness (C), and Openness to Experience (O). This six dimension model, referred to as the HEXACO model, is argued to account for cross-cultural lexical findings, as well the subtle distinctions between personality traits better than the Big-Five (Ashton & Lee, 2007). The original measurement scale of this model consists of the 60-item HEXACO-60 scale (Ashton & Lee, 2009)." extracted from "The Mini-IPIP6: Tiny yet highly stable markers of Big Six personality"
Academics began to publish Scientific Research using the HEXACO model of personality and they plan to discontinue the Big 5 model (a.k.a. Big Five or FFI five factor inventory) soon.

More about "The HEXACO" model of personality structure
In a previous post I had written about the HEXACO model of personality structure
The HEXACO Model of Personality conceptualizes human personality in terms of six dimensions.
The HEXACO model of personality structure is a six-dimensional model of human personality that was created by Ashton and Lee based on findings from a series of lexical studies involving several European and Asian languages. The six factors, or dimensions, include Honesty-Humility (H), Emotionality (E), Extraversion (X), Agreeableness (A), Conscientiousness (C), and Openness to Experience (O)
Please read also:
Prediction of self- and observer report scores on HEXACO-60 and NEO-FFI scales
The 24-item Brief HEXACO Inventory (BHI)
The HEXACO model of personality is, of course, an oversimplification like the Big5 model, good enough to guidance/orientation purposes but not good enough for predictive purposes.
---------------------
The only way to revolutionize the Online Dating Industry is using the 16PF5 normative personality test, available in different languages to assess personality of members, or a proprietary test with exactly the same traits of the 16PF5 and expressing compatibility with eight decimals (needs a quantized pattern comparison method, part of pattern recognition by cross-correlation, to calculate similarity between prospective mates.)
High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing.
It is all about achieving the eighth decimal!
With 8 decimals, you have more precision than any person could achieve by searching on one's own, but the only way to achieve the eighth decimal is using analysis and correlation with quantized patterns.
Without offering the NORMATIVE16PF5 (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry All other proposals are NOISE and perform as placebo.

"Because the Big Five groups the more specific primary-level factors, feedback organized around the five Global Factor scales is more easily understood. For detailed feedback or predictive purposes, one should assess the more specific primary factors. Research has shown that more specific factors like the primary scales of the 16PF Questionnaire predict actual behavior better than the Big 5 Global Factors. For example, one extravert (a bold, fearless, high-energy type) may differ considerably from another (a sweet, warm, sensitive type), depending on the extraversion-related primary scale score patterns, so deeper analysis is typically warranted." The Swiss 16PT is NOT the same as the 16PF5 test
The Swiss 16PT is NOT the same as the 16PF5 test.
The 16PT is ipsative
The 16PF5 is normative
That Swiss ipsative 16 PT Personality Test is a version of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The Swiss ipsative 16 PT Personality Test is used at IQfriends and IntelligentElite, I had reviewed it during 2011 and 2012.
and not the normative 16PF5 test (the 16PF 5th edition)
The MBTI has only 4 binary variables and gives you 16 different possibilities
INTP · INTJ · INFJ · INFP
ISTP · ISTJ · ISFJ · ISFP
ESTP · ESTJ · ESFJ · ESFP
ENTP · ENTJ · ENFJ · ENFP
The 16PF has 16 variables taking integer values from 1 to 10
The whole possibilities are 10E16 (the ENSEMBLE)
i.e. 10,000,000,000,000,000
World Population 7.0*10E9 = = 7,000,000,000
(7.0 * 10E9) / 10E16 == 7.0 * 10E(-7) or 0.7 * 10E(-6) or 0.70 micro part!
7,000,000,000 / 10,000,000,000,000,000 == less than 1 micro part!!!
World Population is less than 1 micro part of the whole set of different valid patterns of the 16PF5.
That is why I had invented a new quantitive method to compare personality patterns
like
PERSONALITY PATTERN
Client #01 ---- 16PF5 Profile A:6.B:7.C:6.E:8.F:9.G:6.H:7.I:7.L:8.M:7.N:2.O:5.Q1:8.Q2:7.Q3:3.Q4:4
Client #02 ---- 16PF5 Profile A:5.B:7.C:4.E:8.F:7.G:4.H:5.I:6.L:4.M:6.N:8.O:9.Q1:6.Q2:8.Q3:4.Q4:4
<#02|CQ|#01> == 74.79865772%
--------------------
IPSATIVE personality tests are OBSOLETE (self-descriptive questionnaires) and should be discarded: MBTI (PerfectMatch), DISC (ThomasKnowsPeople), Enneagram (Dopasowani) or other proprietary ipsative tests like the ones used at Chemistry, ButterfliesAgain, Doskonalapara, PembePanjur, LittleHint, oneGoodLove and others.
NORMATIVE personality tests like Big5 versions used at PlentyOfFish, eHarmony , Meetic Affinity, Parship, Be2, True are good for guidance (orientation) purposes but not good enough for predictive purposes.
Normative tests can not simply be translated, because you need the norm for that test, and that norm is actualized each and every time Census Figures are released
The 16PF5 test is available in
- English for the United States and the Norm for the United States (sample of individuals with the same demographic characteristics of the United States).
- English for Canada and the Norm for Canada (sample of individuals with the same demographic characteristics of Canada)
- English for the United Kingdom and the Norm for the United Kingdom (sample of individuals with the same demographic characteristics of the United Kingdom).
- English for Australia and the Norm for Australia (sample of individuals with the same demographic characteristics of Australia).
- French for France and the Norm for France.
- German for Germany and the Norm for Germany.
- Spanish for Spain and the Norm for Spain.
- Italian for Italy and the Norm for Italy.
and many more "With over 60 years of research and application behind it, the 16PF5 has become internationally well known and respected, with over 20 different translated versions."
See also FIRO, CPI and 16PF5 tests.

AND also remember IQ tests are ability tests, answers could be Right or Wrong, so the questions should be sorted in increasing difficulty forming a Rasch Hierarchy. Those IQ tests sould be constructed using Modern Test Theory / Item Response Theory (IRT).
Intelligent Elite / IQfriends, Brainiac Dating, IQ Gorgeous and the others DO NOT meet IRT, they are all ... rubbish.
The 16PT is ipsative
The 16PF5 is normative
That Swiss ipsative 16 PT Personality Test is a version of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The Swiss ipsative 16 PT Personality Test is used at IQfriends and IntelligentElite, I had reviewed it during 2011 and 2012.
and not the normative 16PF5 test (the 16PF 5th edition)
The MBTI has only 4 binary variables and gives you 16 different possibilities
INTP · INTJ · INFJ · INFP
ISTP · ISTJ · ISFJ · ISFP
ESTP · ESTJ · ESFJ · ESFP
ENTP · ENTJ · ENFJ · ENFP
The 16PF has 16 variables taking integer values from 1 to 10
The whole possibilities are 10E16 (the ENSEMBLE)
i.e. 10,000,000,000,000,000
World Population 7.0*10E9 = = 7,000,000,000
(7.0 * 10E9) / 10E16 == 7.0 * 10E(-7) or 0.7 * 10E(-6) or 0.70 micro part!
7,000,000,000 / 10,000,000,000,000,000 == less than 1 micro part!!!
World Population is less than 1 micro part of the whole set of different valid patterns of the 16PF5.
That is why I had invented a new quantitive method to compare personality patterns
like
PERSONALITY PATTERN
Client #01 ---- 16PF5 Profile A:6.B:7.C:6.E:8.F:9.G:6.H:7.I:7.L:8.M:7.N:2.O:5.Q1:8.Q2:7.Q3:3.Q4:4
Client #02 ---- 16PF5 Profile A:5.B:7.C:4.E:8.F:7.G:4.H:5.I:6.L:4.M:6.N:8.O:9.Q1:6.Q2:8.Q3:4.Q4:4
<#02|CQ|#01> == 74.79865772%

For example, one extravert (a bold, fearless, high-energy type) may differ considerably from another (a sweet, warm, sensitive type), depending on the extraversion-related primary scale score patterns, so deeper analysis is typically warranted."
