I’m abandoning online dating. I’m only in my 40s, yet I’d rather be alone in a rocker playing Solitaire — with an actual deck of cards — than go on one more “coffee date.”

I’ve tried various dating sites: Lava Life, Match, eHarmony, Plenty of Fish, OK Cupid, Tinder and Bumble. I’ve been cat-fished, ghosted and stood up. I’ve met players and liars. I’ve met guys who look nothing like their profiles.
